Elysabeth Wolter

Born: Gisborne, 1960

Elysabeth Wolter is a multi media artist who works with glass, textiles and other mixed media.
 
Rhythm, movement, contrast and texture are main design elements she considers in creating her unique work. All these elements are used in conjunction with her love of colour, and Elysabeth devotes a lot of time to experimenting in the application of colour and its arrangement.
 
Elysabeth moved to Wanganui in 2005 and went on to graduate with a Diploma of Glass and Design from the Wanganui Glass School in 2008.
 
Her work is held in private collections in England , Germany, Canada and Australia,as well as in nine galleries throughout New Zealand.
 
Elysabeth exhibited work in the Molly Morperth Canaday 3D Glass Award at Whakatane Museum and Gallery in 2009.
