Based: Te Awanga, Hawke's Bay
Liz Earth is a multi-media artist and sculptor.
She graduated from Ilam School of Art at Canterbury University in 1961. She was a full-time mother until 1986 when she took up ceramics, making work which was exhibited locally, nationally and once in China.
This year Liz has shown her work in Shapeshifter at the NewDowse and at the National Ceramics 2010 Fusion Exhibition in Dunedin, where she won the Jubala Award for best non-functional work.
In recent ears, Liz has had large sculptural works in Sculpture on the Gulf, Eye for Sculpture (Clevedon), the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail, as well as the 2008 Wildflower Sculpture Exhibition. Liz has also created public art for the Napier and Hastings CBDs.
