Based: Hawke's Bay Para Matchitt is a painter, sculptor, printmaker, muralist, illustrator and stage designer.
He has taken workshops, exhibited, researched and been involved with visual arts conferences all over the world during his illustrious art career.
Para's solo and group shows since 1962 have taken place in the USA, Japan, Malaysia, France and the former Czechoslovakia, as well as throughout New Zealand.
He has undertaken a wide variety of public, private and corporate commissions around the country since the 1960s, and his work is held in public Art Galleries and Museums and private collections both here and in the United States.
