Sean Crawford

Based: Carterton, Wairarapa
 
Sean Crawford works in stainless steel, galvanised steel, native timber and copper to create his distinctive sculptures and one-off furniture pieces. He holds a Bachelor of Design (Hons) from Victoria University Wellington, which he completed in 2003, after leaving the plumbing trade to pursue a more creative direction. Since graduating, Sean has exhibited frequently in solo and group shows around New Zealand, and his work is held in collections both here and overseas. Most recently, he exhibited at Shapeshifter 2010 ‘Essential New Zealand Sculpture’.
